In 2023, CIC decided to enlarge our Wellness division under the leadership of Dr. Tremaine Afetorgbor.  At CIC, we believe good health is a right, not a privilege! With a mission to reduce health disparities by providing resources and solutions that encourage sustainable lifestyle changes to help improve health outcomes.

Communities In Cooperation Inc. is excited to collaborate with community leaders and partners to create a ripple effect that will spread throughout the community, leading to healthier lives. Together, we can create successful partnerships for culturally competent and inclusive programming that will benefit our community.

Meet Our Wellness Advocate Director

Dr. Tremaine is well known as Dr. Flava, The Wellness Foodie Pharmacist. With her 15-year pharmacist career and a passion for nutrition, she noticed that people were getting sicker without addressing the root cause. This motivated her to start a mission to engage, empower, and revolutionize the thinking of communities utilizing "food as medicine" as the primary approach and advocating that small diet and lifestyle changes can significantly impact our overall health and well-being.

She is the CEO and founder of DR FLAVA SPICES®, an all-natural seasoning line that enhances the flavor of meals without compromising health benefits. Additionally, she is an author, speaker, and wellness expert, and her work and expertise have been featured in prominent media outlets such as FOX, NBC, Roland Martin, Essence Magazine, and Get Up Mornings! with Erica Campbell.
