Making Communities Better, One Person at a Time

Communities in Cooperation, Inc. provides mentoring programs for at-risk youth aged 7 to 17. We offer group and individual sessions, each lasting 2 hours per week. Our program includes dynamic motivational presentations, exposure to positive role models, and fun-filled, organized activities. Our program is based on the evidence-based ARISE curriculum, which aims to increase viable protective factors and resilience.

As a community-focused company, we are proud to have created Chef it Up, an online cooking class initiative launched in 2020. Amid the pandemic-induced lockdowns, the kitchen became our creative haven. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback for Chef it Up, and it is now included in our mentoring program. Dr. Tremaine J. Afetorgbor guides the program and serves as our team lead for programming in Georgia-Metro Atlanta. Our young chefs learn the art of quickly preparing delicious and healthy meals through this program.
